Flower Shop

Across a field of vibrant colors

awaits a pair of brown eyes

that hold a universe of their own.

A universe where a girl used to spend

her days blowing on dandelions

and napping in the afternoon sun.

Sacred whispers flew gently

from breathless lips

as the sky changed colors.

He had the kind of eyes you could get lost in

and I guess I was lost within a maze

I was never supposed to have fallen in.
