Flowers

Beautiful flowers
Started to merge
Once the dirt and rocks were swept away from the cement
Through all the brokenness
The cracks
Pink
Purple
Yellow
Red
Green
Flowers started to blossom
On the rainy days
The water seemed to be the only thing that flooded those empty spaces
But the rain didn't last forever
Sunshine peeked through
And newness started to grow.
These things will once again die.
But time after time,
They will continue to grow.
