Flowers of Knowledge

The silence

Awkwardly necessary

The Respect

Given contemptibly

Too afraid of criticism

To dare to question

Dogmatic words

Sprinkling about confusion

Tentative pupil asks

The inquiry to learn

Shot down by The Dictator

A discouraging burn

Restricted growth

Of young minds’ curiosity

Destructively caused

By words stated malevolently

So the silence

Is awkward and necessary

So the respect

Is given contemptibly

Day by day

Hour by hour

A student’s desire

A trampled flower
