Flowing
Putting pen to paper is like the rush of a river
Words crashing like a waterfall full of secrets, full of woes
Scribbling in script to escape to a simplicity
Carving out a couplet and creating a place just for me
Speaking is like fire out of the dragon's mouth
A heat that will not be contained and will melt the outside down
Each word a scale, sharp as it passes through my lips
And smoke that can be seen for miles, even by the furthest ships
Hearing is like a piano playing in the distance
Each key played another truth left to consider
A high note followed by a low, and all those in between
A parting line that can cause a smile or a solemn weep
