Fluorescent Adolescent
A series of colors
Filters, sharpness, lighting
Holding back a feeling
Fighting
Hiding
Not wanting to know what’s going through
Your mind
Wasting time
Timeless
More than just black and white
Kodak moments
Simple tokens
Unbroken instances forever burned into our minds
Pale skin
Reflecting the sun
So brilliantly shining
Blurring the little imperfections
Upon my coat of armor
Nothing more than a
Fluorescent adolescent
Her luminosity shooting through the camera’s eye
A diamond with a certain desire to dazzle
But the girl behind the photo is left in a frazzle
She tries not to unravel
Photographs that allow a certain chill
A certain feeling
But it all seems obscured
And I’m beginning to have a hard time
Finding the difference between
The memories we made
And the hopes I had
Something wrong with this poem?
