Fly

Twisted, mumbled, backward, what is it you said?

trying so hard to fix it all in my misunderstood head

all day long pretending to know hopeing no one figures out

my smile and nods are all a show so you don't call me out

finally home I feel safe I don't have to pretend like earlier before

I grab my canvas and my paint and don't care about my disability anymore

this Auditory Processing disability is such a heavy thing to bare

at the end of the day I let go of all the weight through my eyes as I stare

soon the canvas is full of color full of life and in someways so am I

I am renewed again to face another day in which I know I will eventually fly.
