Fly Away
I feel so dangerously small,
Like I might not have enough gravitational pull
To tie myself to the Earth any longer.
I feel so very frail and vulnerable,
Like at any given moment the wind could pick me up
On a breeze and scatter the remnants of my soul to faraway lands.
I feel as if I could just solemnly drift off to sleep
And live forever in Neverland, flying next to Peter Pan.
He was right, growing up is a trap.
