Flying

Every day

All I do is wait

For the next hour, the next day, the next week

I live in the future

And forget to take in the now

My entire life

I wait for the next moment

Not satisfied until I’ve flown through the week

And missed the experience

Forgetting to savor what time I have

On this Earth, missing out on all my life

Occasionally looking back at the past

Wishing I was there once again

For only a brief moment

Before looking back to the clock and saying

“When’s Friday”
