Flying

I try to speak but am never heard
Success as fleeting as the summer birds

Expectations ruined and I broken
Forgetting the promises once spoken

In my failures and broken dreams I lay
Losing hope, wishing the days away

But the light, always there, I begin to see
The promises fulfilling before me

The dots soon connect one, two, three
In a way I never saw, never knew could be

The rising, the falling all happen for a reason
Timing in my life as perfect as the timing of the seasons

I wanted to learn to fly without the fall
But now with you I see the beauty of it all

Miracles come in all shapes And sizes
Now with you my hope rises

No longer afraid I spread my wings
And oh how my soul sings

Through joy and through pain
Through sunshine and through rain

A purpose I have; a mission worthwhile
And you always giving me reason to smile
