the trouble with memory is the way that i only seem to remember things after i'm far away like i'm far away from you and what you mean to me and to all the people have walked through your nurture and past your power the trouble with memory is the way that i hold onto the things i learned was supposed to remember but all the times in between have gotten fuzzy like the card game and the ice cream and the late-night talks the trouble with memory is the way that i make you a part of me even though i am not a part of you i was not the only girl you held i was not the perfect person for you but you were the perfect thing for me just right the trouble with memory is the way i think of you in and out of focus
