Focus

How can my words be in rhyme when my feelings have no reason?

How can my words be in meter when my feelings are without pattern?

If I could see a thousand miles

I would focus on you in an instant

Because to see the world when I could see you

Is torture.

You are my world.

Day is as black as night when I can’t see you,

And time echoes with the lost moments I could have spent with you.

You are my everything.

In all the things I do and say

In all the things I see today

All of them will fade away

Except, perhaps, for you.

You, in my mind, forever linger.

You, in my heart, forever stay.

You rest in the throne upon my very soul

And I would not have it any other way.

Some may say that their words aren’t enough to contain their feelings.

I say feelings aren’t enough.

You are beyond them.

You are my light, my flame, my life.

You are my God.
