Focus On Where You’re Going

Your word says grace and mercy shall follow me.
Not just for a moment but for eternity.

As I walk the earth. I need your grace.
But I desire to use it, with my future mistakes.

Mistakes that I will make unknowingly.
The mistakes of my past I don't want to reapeat.

I desire to move forward. Lord help me to stay focused
I could stop and look back but I can't afford it.

I realized where I came from, when I think of it all I'm glowing,
But GOD said: FORGET THE PAST. FOCUS ON WHERE YOU ARE GOING

Poetry is therapeutic to me. Over the years I have found a way to include it in anything and I love it. It helps me to keep my mind off of the things that I go through. Especially now.
