The Fog
There once was a time when I was pacing,
Walking around, my mind was racing,
Phrace gone-I was left astray,
Where has my sister gone today?
Searching the grounds,
Not a trace,
Oh where has she gone, my sister, Phrace?
Watching nighttime and daytime race,
Oh where has she gone, my sister, Phrace?
Closing the window, opening the door,
Attempting to stop the chaos of my brain's uproar,
Walking fearfully, hoping to crack the case,
Oh how I need my sister, Phrace.
Down the path and into the river,
Qucikly breathing, wheezing, and now a quiver,
But I will not stop, I will not leave the place,
Not until I find my sister Phrace,
Now a bloody shriek fills the air, down the river,
---Someone's there!
By the river bank, at the base,
There lay shrieking, my sister Phrace,
"I will save you, now don't worry!
Hold on tight, everything is blurry!"
Now a fog has filled the air,
Thickening my sight,
Mistening my hair.
"You don't need to worry," rasped the fog,
"She's already too deep, deep in sog,"
Why are you doing this, show your face,
What have you done with my sister, Phrace?!
Running to the river bank, fog in the race,
I must save my sister Phrace,
Searching frantically in the water,
Fog in the way, turning rotter,
When a hand grabbed my arm,
It was Phrace and not in harm,
"Oh I can't see you! Water, slow your pace!"
I called to my sister, Phrace,
Then the fog became even stronger,
Disabling me from holding on any longer,
"Say goodbye and forever ponder,
The rage and doom of her death!"
Roaring through the fog, so dire,
Squirming though like raging fire,
Trying not to be pulled up higher,
By the powerful, thickening fog,
"Oh fog, Oh fog, hide no trace,
What have you done with my sister, Phrace?!"
Then all of a sudden, the water stops,
And the fog drops,
Everything went silent,
And nevermore violent,
"Oh fog, oh fog!--"
Not a sound in the place,
...Where has she gone, my sister Phrace?
