When I was younger I thought the moon followed my car,

It would follow me everywhere,

It would travel oh so far.

The moon would shine a luminous glow and would dance with the stars,

It always moved in the air,

To the sky, the moon was an everlasting scar.

The moon was reliable and never left, it was almost bizarre,

It was always with the stars, they made a perfect pair

It would never leave its friends, even if it were a dare,

When I was younger, I thought the moon followed my car.

When I was younger I thought the sun followed my car,

It would shine bright on my car window, always so near,

It was like a shining star.

The sun would shine happily like a star,

It always was present in the air

To the sky, the sun was an everlasting scar.

The sun was reliable and never left, it was almost bizarre,

It was always with the clouds, they made a perfect pair,

It would never leave its friends, even if it were a dare,

When I was younger, I thought the sun followed my car.
