Follow Along

I sit, thinking of what is to come.

It went by so fast, four years gone.

There lies my diploma, rubbing my thumb.

Realizing we all have to move on.

I am so proud of you they say.

The knot in my throat grows.

My words cut off midway.

They pat my back because they know.

Summers over, School begins.

I find myself lost.

Campus is so big my head spins.

I’d pay to be 5 again no matter the cost.

I grow and nothing can be done but follow along.

A masters degree will definitely be worth it in the end.
