Foolish
You're a fool-
A damn fool
If you thought,
Even for a moment
I was going to give up that easily.
I crave you,
The way flesh craves freedom.
And I need you,
More than I need my own beating heart
And the blood flowing through my veins.
I'll never be able to walk away.
There's something about you.
Something I'll never be able to comprehend.
Something about us I'll never understand.
I'm foolish.
I want you,
But I'm too proud to need you.
And I'm even more in love with you when you ignore me.
I crave you more when you don't need me.
And the things I can't see..
Well, later, they're crippling.
But darling,
I love you, and
You're a fool.
A damn fool.
But I am, too -
Foolish.
More foolish than my love,
And the love I hope we'd share.
