Football Life

Hard work is hard to beat,

For many it’s hard to do.

But once you start to compete,

It’s all up to you.

The whole team works together,

We are beasts on the field.

All we do is get better,

We hold our ground and never yield.

Friday night lights is my favorite,

I always play my heart out,

Football under the lights, I crave it.

I love hearing the crowd scream and shout.

Skyview wins play by play

The opponent on their backs they lay.

This poem truly decribes me as a person on the football field. I love to write poems because it feels like I can get my thoughts out they way I choose to and not by a stricked format. Poetry allows me to write in a free manner without worring about the little things that might get in the way. Football has been a part of my life since I was nine years old. It has taught me many things that nothing will ever teach a person or show me. Huge thank you to all of my coaches who have greatly impacted me. I love this sport so much.Thank you for this opportunity that you are giving me, I love poetry.
