Footprint
My heart shakes at the thought
Of one day with no dreams sought.
My passions, my strengths, my obsessions
Will all become a complexing question.
I travel down the road unknown,
Forever pondering about new opportunities on my own.
I’m confused and scared
To have my future undeclared,
But the endless possibilities
Makes a wider expanse of availabilities
To believe in myself and ensure
That the confidence I have in myself endures.
To find out what I want to do,
I just have to pick one clue.
One thing about myself that I need to prove
To the world that I can surely make it move.
I possess the qualities of a tiger
That makes me roar and have eyes of fire.
The perseverance of achieving my goal
Of making sure that I have a role
In society, where I am bound to give
My efforts, my brains, my intentions to live
A life that marks that I was here
And not to make moments disappear.
A higher education will give me
Something more than just a degree.
I will experience a challenge, one that I must forgo
Which will induce me to search for the courage to grow
Into a person that will be of need
And will definitely succeed.
