The Footprint

It's a pressure in the snow! You're standing there all alone. Feeling the freezing wind burn your face while air blows, you soon feel the tears ice up and chill your bones. You can't move, but you can't stay still. Your heart is frozen in time. The emptiness of your will, keeps you from crossing that line. Every breath just to scream, every word lingering in the breeze, you just want to be heard. As you fall down to your knees, you feel the deepest pressure being transferred. Your soul is reaching out to help you get up and stand. But the pain inside with all the uncertainty and doubt, leaves you wondering if an angel will take your hand. You get up and move a step. The footprint is embedded in the snow. You know if you can only disrupt the heavy pressure, maybe it will go. It's freezing outside. As you look up to the sky, you realize there's nowhere for your tears to hide, so you wipe your tears, and whisper for an angel to help you fly. There on the cold snowy ground, the pressure of your footprint remains. This time you don't whisper a single sound, you bury it, wipe away your tears, and move on once again!!
