Footprints

I take a step back and try to breathe for a moment. Body and mind numb like all emotion has been stolen. I fall back to a place where I feel extremely lonely. Just sitting here wishing that He could come and hold me. I know in time I'll be okay. My God always has a plan. When I began to slip and fall He takes me by the hand. For weeks I could walk around seeing four footprints in the sand, but now I look down and see only one pair on the land. I realize that they are His and now He carries me. I take a breath, close my eyes and pray I'm not to heavy.
