Forbidden

Forbidden things

are not often portrayed

as what they truly be.

It is not silent, stolen moments,

nor is it sobs of pain.

It is a writhing in your stomach,

lump caught in your throat,

and difficult to dislodge.

It is stolen whisperes behind the backs

of those

who needn't know,

constant fear of exposure.

Forbidden things are not often portrayed

as what they truly be.
