The Forbidden Book
Even though you continue to break my heart, I continue to love you.
Even though you continue to push me away, I continue to search for you.
Even though you continue to deny me, I continue wanting you to accept me.
Even though you cause me pain, I continue to yearn for you.
Once the tables turn it will be you writing poems for me
But then it will be too late you see
That all the time I spent running after you would have paid off
If you would have listened to me, trusted me, wanted me.
But since you didn't... it's now something you will regret for the rest of your life
Everytime you think of it, it'll be like they're cutting you, slicing you, entering you with a knife
And all the tears I cried and the pain I felt will no longer be cried nor felt
Because by then you would be to me like a book on an old man's shelf
I'll love you enough to keep you and not throw you away
But I'll never take the time to sit down and read you... ever again.
