A forbidden love

There’s a feeling which is rarely felt

Yet always so widely sought after

A feeling of peace and content

A feeling only you give me

It’s shocking how deeply I have come to feel this way

Even stranger how frightening this feeling has become

Do you truly move my heart?

Like a pencil gently gliding across the page

Different yet so enticing its almost a sin

Like the fruit which banished eve

Your voice so melodic it calls out to me

It something that my brain can’t quiet preserve

You move me like music

You pull me in like an open tide

You hold like a paintbrush

You are the one thing left that makes quiet feel this alive…
