A Forbidden Love

Even the sun is indecisive of whether it wants to rise.
In metaphoric comparison, I too am like the sun.
Forbidden to be with the one it loves; the moon.
Forced to rise and set without observation of the one he yearns for.
But every so often, the moon breaks its boundaries, still risen at dusk to see its beloved sun.
Only if she loved me, like the moon loves; I would have reason to rise.
Those mornings are the reasons the sun rises.
Not to shed us light, but to shine forth through the earth in hopes the moon will see it.
