Forbidden to Love, but Found Happiness

Born on a stormy night, the lightning struck

Long silver strands on one of her gold lock

Men sought after her, bringing charms of luck

What did I deserve, to not with them flock.

A servant of the miss is who I am

Society forbids me to confess

Every morning I ask “Bread with jam?”

Until one day she left, now a princess

So my love’s gone, but I will not ponder

No sad sorrow will I partake; I won’t.

Memories fill pages full of wonder

From shadows I will watch her on the throne

For if she is happy, then so will I

Though our love will never meet eye to eye
