The Forbidden Run

Running along the trees, Feeling the wet, cold moss Under my hands, Looking back to see him following me, Puts a smile on my face, Every time I look at him I get butterflies, Then I know for sure He is the one for me But we need to be careful so we don’t get caught As I keep running through the woods I hear behind me the crunching Of branches from his feet of tenderness Then I keep running on Trying to hide To make him wonder where I am Finally I reach a meadow That takes my breath away The soft green grass just greats me gracefully when I walk to the center As I come the freshness of everything around me Hits me like a cat pouncing on a mouse I hear the birds chirping their song as they sit on their branch When he comes near me I see the soft eyes of a gentle giant But the strength of a lion there to protect me I can feel the breeze along my skin giving me goose bumps My hair flowing like a willow tree that can’t be tamed I see in his eyes the love he has for me, Even though we can’t be together, Even when I don’t look my best, I hear him whispering in my ear “You are beautiful” The next words that come out of his lips aren’t words at all And I’m confused with that until I open my eyes It is the sound of a beeping alarm clock that won’t shut up As I realized it was all a dream I find that my emotions can’t help but explode with all its anger For I knew I was never going to see the softness of those gorgeous teal eyes again
