The Forest

Jump into an escape from reality,

A separate world hiding upon our own.

An enduring, elusive being

That is slowly being destroyed.

Follow me into the harmonious household of the homeless,

An exquisite beauty to the unexpecting stranger.

Join me to venture into the belly of a beast

That can be vicious and deadly, or graceful and gentle...

Depending on how you look at it.

Dance with me, in this hidden cache.

Let’s stare up at the moon.

But when it gets dark, do hide away.

For when the sun goes down, the monsters come out

And they’re hardly ever in the mood to play.

Come now, don’t be scared.

For this beast smells fear a mile off.

No worries, because as you’ll soon see:

The Forest loves visitors.
