The forest

The forest is calling,

And I know I must answer.

Its power, strength, and fortitude

Is what feeds me, soothes my craving.

I'm getting weak at the knees,

Bending before its will.

It devours me,

Almost as much as I desire to devour it.

Chastity, virtue, and reliance,

Use to define me.

But exposure to the unknown

Has transformed me into a more mature being.

The old me is nothing but a distant shadow

And the sun is slowly setting.

The darkness will rise

As I disappear into the night.

Nothing matters now.

I am bound

To the stars,

The forest, and the blackness of night.

A rope is tied around my neck,

I am suffocating inside my mind.

I must vanish, disappear.

Only then will I be

free.
