In a Forest

In a forest green where tall trees sway
Our friendship grows with each passing day.

Leaves may fall and seasons may change
But through it all we stay in range.

With whispers of wind and sun shining bright
We share our laughter from morning to night.

Roots intertwine in the soft  warm ground
In every moment true joy is found.

Sometimes it rains and shadows may be seen
Yet together we stand, in the space between.

Like a forest strong we’ll weather the storm
I’m happy and honored to have the bond we have formed
