Forest

The forest of fears unknown

Creeping 'round a dusty path once glittering gold

Bramble and twine tangled as one,

Splaying branches, little hands

Children lost to time

Reaching

Searching

Yearning

For light beyond their grasp

What wishes do they have anymore?

Possibly to be held once more,

In the hands invisible to human eyes

To be lifted away from the dark that subdues them so

And find redemption

In the sun
