The Forest of Dean not Chicago.


The ferns to brown have turned Birds plump plumed, roost silent Stealing mists into gullies slide, to hide away promises made on summer days still felt. Leaves turn and fall to earth, crawl with beetles and turn to dirt. Smelling sweet of a lost season.
