Forest Sanctuary

Dappled light

So gentle, so bright

Lull me to sleep

On this quiet day

Soft gold, crisp crimson

Burnt orange and

Lush green.

Color plays across

The forest floor

Shining through leaves

Painted in autumn hues

Shadows slow-dance

Around the edges

Of my sun-lit sanctuary
