Forever

 John 6:58       New English Translation

58 This is the bread that came down from heaven; it is not like the bread your ancestors ate but then later died. The one who eats this bread will live forever.”

“Bread from Heaven” if not digested.

It will be like the manna your fathers ate and are dead.

What a way to live either by faith or by sight

Who now knows the difference when it’s gone at last?

As anger gets formed in a constant frame of the fight

Do you still have a remembrance of your past?

Love proclaimed through a test always falling short

Is that true that turning blue makes it worth the keeping

Is not the rain full of pain and hardly in one accord?

To get the rest to accept the test and so keep from weeping.

Victory lost. Is it worth the cost? I seem so corrupted

Fake the part from the heart as death springs up in me

Screwed by self, no clock strikes twelve, wounds self-inflicted

By own greed and being blind to the care of others in their needs

God forsook what I took, and that’s what I deserve

Strong intention incomprehension of what I ought to be

Hopeless now and lost in "helpless," I have some nerve

Motivation in degradation that I'm still able to see

Doomed to wander and rolling thunder judgment at the door

No protection just deserved infliction screaming bloody murder

Cry for salvation without hesitation, crawling on the floor

Destitute perfection God’s reflection, Grace now clears the hurdle
