Forever

It was our wedding day

Full of love and admiration

I looked into her gleaming emerald eyes

I knew we’d remember this forever

It was our wedding day

Friends and family sniffled in the Palace

Aunt Artie wasted-danced on the dance floor

My love in my arms forever

It was our wedding day

Her family silently analyzed me

I nonchalantly nodded hello

Their daughter’s smiling forever

It was our wedding day

Our friends hurled bubbles at us

We skidded out of the parking lot

Ready to start our forever

It was our wedding night

Roses covered our bed

Candles dimly lit the hotel room

She carefully whispered “I love you forever”
