Forever
Valentine’s Day just passed and all I hear is forever alone,
When people complain about not having the love Jones or someone of their own.
Psshhh…forever alone? How about forever wishing belong?
Or the immense yen to leave home because it causes a depression zone.
Kin are forever wrong so I forever hate my chromosomes because I’m forever locked in their cell dome.
How about forever on the same road?
Forever having a future that’s unknown.
Education is forever gold and forever being sold but colleges are forever cold; my finances they forever scold so they forever throw scholarships life forever fetch a bone.
Maybe forever never being written in stone?
Forever scared of what the future holds.
Forever having hope that blessings will forever unfold.
Forever being told that if you’re forever bold enough to forever hold a forever optimistic tone then far places you’ll forever go but for how long? Forever?
How about trying forever to get better?
So I can wait forever for that acceptance letter?
My patience is forever weathered
Because they treat me like a worthless forever feather
Or an animal, as they come together and say let’s pet her.
“Does she look like debtor? Ehh.. we’ll accept her. Let’s forever tell her”
Maybe forever stressed?
For trying forever to be the best and clean your siblings mess and put your head on the desk because you haven’t forever slept.
And even when you nap you never feel at rest
Forever studying for a test and still having to forever guess.
Forever working hard but still earning less.
Forever saying yes so people push you East when you’re forever destined West.
Forever pain in the chest because you’re about to forever leave the nest though mama bird can be a pest!
I’m trying to allow my wisdom to be pressed
It may feel like I’m forever distressed
But when I stop being forever pissed…I realize, forever does NOT exist.
