Forever Be Proud

I remember our first date

knowing it won't last forever but thinking that that's okay

We were perfect for each other- you helped me come out

I helped you stay

We shared our secrets as we walked that fateful day

Until the prestes came out of nowhere saying

that "Us fags couldn't stay"

It was the first time you held my hand

and as we lifted them in the air

an act of defiance that helped me realise

I love you
