Forever Changed

Once I lived in darkness,

With nightmares looming all around me.

Cold and alone,

With no hand to guide me.

So far lost in my horrors of the past,

I saw no future that would last.

Than suddenly you placed your hand upon me,

Lifting me up oh so gently.

You wiped the tears from my eyes,

Giving me a reason not to cry.

You’ve shown me love like no other,

Oh how I shutter.

What would I do without you,

The very thought tears at my soul.

Who’s hand I hold;

Lips I kiss,

And I love yous are told.

You make the sun brighter each and every day,

I’m so glad you changed my ways.
