Forever In Debt

The thing I've seen It's the type of things you see on movie screens; the story of a dead beat dad He couldn't handle it so he packed up his bags and made a run for it fast He left us alone; my brother, my sister and my mom Told my brother "now your grown"..in the middle of the night, then he went out of sight. Years later now he wants to make it right. I was too young to see it, too young to understand That this father I had wanted could have never been a man And I would fight my mom thinking that she was always wrong, but she was being strong She was getting us along And all he did was hold us back Now I see it's fact because he always seemed to slack or seemed to slip off track. My mother is my rock She's something that he's not. She's my father, my mother, my friend and my pride She's the reason that I strive, the reason I don't mind taking an extra shift at night Or work my hardest until I die Because my life won't be worth living unless she gets to live hers high That's my long term goal.. I'll never forget and i'm forever in debt For the love that you have never regret.
