Forever In Eternity
Such sorrow and strife those eyes have seen,
Who's owners had endured.
Such is that of a farmer's son,
Who's been wiped clean and pure.
The sins of this world,
so tangled and knotted,
So knotted he could not see.
The choices he made,
the things he had bade,
Were pressing him far from Thee.
When finally, at last!
These things of the past
He cast far away to sea.
With a big open heart,
He realized the work of art
His Father had always seen.
The Father welcomed him,
With arms that drew in,
the Love he had always wanted.
The Kindness he'd dreamed,
Like, forever, it seemed
The Love that was truly meaned.
Though not one to cry,
he got a bit teary in the eye
as he felt the love wash over him.
Then he heard the One speak,
Suddenly feeling meek,
But strengthened at the words He said.
"This is my child, one of mine.."
He spoke with tears in his own eyes,
"and nothing will ever take him."
He looked at his son,
The child's head was hung,
As the weight of the words washed over him.
"My son."
He said,
drawing him close, lead,
"It is done."
"My son, you will be,
Always to me.
Forever,
In eternity."
