Forever Falling
Once an angel,
bright and glowing.
walking slowly,
always flowing.
single steps
of grace and flight,
but soon came the darkness
of a fallen knight.
Of one glance,
the angle strode,
across an empty,
silent road,
Over to
the silent demon,
laughing slighty,
for no reason.
A devilsh trick
about to unfold,
She'd known life
and saw it there,
whisking briskly
in the air.
Her hair sought somber,
left untamed,
then, of course,
came the rain.
Slowly climbing
down on knees
she sought the arrow
he would need.
Movement close,
an arrow thrust,
blood was gushing
the color of rust.
and the brightness
turned to dusk,
an engrossing scent,
more than musk.
Falling farther
to the ground,
making nothing
of a sound.
An angel once,
of nature's calling.
Once an angel
now... forever falling.
