Forever Footprint

Leaving a footprint in a heart is a difficult thing to do.

Keeping it there for 72 years is hard but not for you.

Overtime people change for better or worse.

But you have given us the strength to do that together.

With the ones you love, you have helped us discover how to build a stronger bond.

With the ones you love, you have taught us to love each other.

With the ones who care, you have taught us to forgive the wrongs in each other.

With the ones who care, you have taught us to embrace the imperfections of one another.

With the ones who watched, you have showed us how to be strong through whatever.

With the ones who watched, you have been a living example of a great husband, father, and grandfather.

With the ones who listened, you have told us of your experience.

With the ones who listened, you have told us how the life we are living is a blessing.

A footprint in our heart is what you have created.

A living legacy is something your life has given us.

A life of love is what you have showed us.

All I’m really trying to say is that we love you.

Granddaddy you will forever have a footprint in our heart.
