Forever Gone

My wings are steady
All the fuzzy’s are almost gone and replaced by feathers
The ground from up here gives me a headache
When I look strait I get an exciting shiver
Will it ever come, I wonder
Land is a moving artistic design
Nothing like a painting
The worms are almost gone
Soon I’ll be finding my own
I become more anxious with every sunrise
There are those days where everything seems impossible
But the wind will blow and remind me that I need to go

I’m finally in full bloom
Ready to face that horizon
To face the hawks that hover the sky
To face the weather that may block my rout
And force me to take another
I stretch my wings as far as they will go
Suddenly, I look down
And quickly remind myself not let fear take me
I make my own fate
My mistakes are mine
I look back at the faces that helped me to this point
Knowing they will forever be here

One breath,
One flap,
One step

And I’m forever gone
