Forever at Last
There across the ocean see,
A grand home lying on shore.
There if you look I will be,
Living with peace and love and more.
Do not worry for I am not alone,
For he is there too, this is not a dream.
How long have I waited to feel his warmth?
And now we are here forever and free.
We sit and lay on this pebbled sand,
The sea we smell as we stay in arms.
There we stay, keeping hand in hand,
We won’t let go; we are safe from harm.
No more years of wait, those were the worst.
Still we endured, no loss of faith.
Time tried, but failed to keep,
A love like this should never be locked.
Back at our homes, we could never speak,
Lest they know, and keep us from reach.
We were our own secret, to them we’d pretend,
Separate Life tried, but the dream still thrived.
Now states we have conquered, we found each other.
Nothing could stop us, not even a country.
The pain and sadness have withered away.
We made our escape, the green light we grasped.
We share a kiss,
Not our first, never our last.
Passion-filled like the orange sunset horizon,
Kissing and sinking into the foaming waters of forever.
The wind sings to us, as we lay,
Not moving, stuck in the lullaby of love.
Our smiles are eternal, our embrace never ceases.
On the precious sand, we fall asleep forever at last.
