Forever Loved

Truth be told, I speak from my heart, the worst of things happen to the best of people.
The world works in ways I can never explain,
God does not intend to hurt someone, and he is not to blame.
It has been said that, “Fate lies in the hands of the beholder,” I trust this to be true,
You are the beholder, it’s up to you.
Sometimes the road God has chosen for us is more complicated than most,
Your fight between heaven and earth is so incredibly close.
We can never loose hope in the ones we love,
For this is just a difficult chapter, a new life soon starts above.
Everyday people experience tragedy,
It just so happens that today it had to happen to the people close to me.
It may not be fair, it may not logically seem clear,
But together we can make it through all the pain and the fear.
It hasn’t been simple to carry on through this September,
Eternally together, never separated and always to remember:
A smile so contagious, and a spirit so true,
When I think of happiness and laughter, I think of you.
You have given this world so much to embrace,
I know you’ll watch over us with that smiling face.
Now hold our hands and guide us through these spins and turns,
You have taught us well and we thank you: Michael Burns.
