Forever an Old Friend

Fear is an old friend of mine;

Never leaving my side

As much as I try to leave his.

His face is ever changing,

From people old and young

To the leap of one's first kiss

And sits in the audience at every performance big and small.

Yes, Fear is an old friend of mine.

While I don't appreciate the levels of distress he brings,

Making the backround more appealing

Rather than being seen,

He brings alongs his other friends to see.

Courage sits on his left

And Love on his right.

Fear tells me it's ok to be scared, it's natural to think so,

But don't forget to remember Courage and Love will be there too.

Fear is an old friend of mine;

Forever changing and always with me.

He has a deceiving appearance;

Fear wants to see me succeed knowing

My three old friends will always be there.
