Forever Young, My Darlings

My Darling Siblings,

    Stay young

Life is like a ladder, you climb up each rung

Each year a rung, each year a battle

Similar to how you always used to tattle
Your innocence is so safe so pure

Life has not yet given you a reason to defer

Stay safe wrapped in our parents arms

Don’t become a victim to a screaming alarm

Sadly I know this is an unreasonable request

To stay forever young you would have to be forever at rest

So here are a few tips for you

    A loving sisters to do

You are brilliant, you have a spark

Don’t let anyone squash it, make your mark

     Kill them with kindness

     Being rude is a blindness

Love is patient, love is kind

You are in control of your own mind

There will be days when you want to give up

Don’t let the despair fill your cup

In the smallest of places you will find hope

I promise you I will never let you mope

Feel your feelings, be true to you

That is really all you can do

You are special and you matter

Don’t fall victim to life’s ladder

Take my advice as if its been sung

I still prefer you stay forever young
