Forewarning of Procrastination
Hear ye, hear ye, for a message I bring,
Of plague, and one that hides among ourselves.
That strikes undetected, from fall to spring,
And causes teens to leave books lone on shelves.
My son, I warn thee of this condition
That seizes your academic rigor.
And your duty, like dying ambition,
Will, alas, waste away without honor.
Since idle hands are the devil’s workshop,
Know that cramming earns you little glory.
Mere remnants of a final minute flop
Shalt compare with no true sadder story.
But alas! Such admonition abates!
With the ill-fated doom of collapsed fate.
