Forget the Classics
I'm tired of the classic red roses.
Roses come in other colors too.
And violets have that name for a reason.
For violets are in no way merely blue.
And why would this make a difference?
How could a few words sway you?
For a mere poem could never be the cause,
Of a love that feels real and true.
So even if my words don't make a difference;
Even if they eventually fade away.
Just know that I never tire,
Of being with you every day.
