Forget Me Not

Forget me not,
Forget me still,
Forgetting me is at your will.

An impression of hope,
Is what I wish to instill.
Whatever the impression,
Forget me you will.

I've learned from the past,
No matter what you do,
You'll be left behind,
But you can always count on you.

The past is the past and you can't change that,
Maybe that's why I have these feelings inside,
Though it was in the past my memories remain,
Never forgetting the tears that I've cried.

Family broken,
Unforgetable words spoken,
Alone again,
A new life to begin.
