I hope you don’t.

I hope you remember my lips against yours,

How soft and perfect every kiss felt.

Being together and feeling the world fall away.

The way I felt laying across your lap,

Laying on your chest,

Listening to your rhythmic heartbeat.

I pray you don’t forget.

I pray you remember the times we laughed,

Talking for hours about any and everything.

Our past, our present and our hopeful future.

The tears we shed,

Holding one another for comfort,

Wiping away tears.

I implore you not to forget.

I implore you to remember how it felt.

To cuddle every chance we got,

Every fight we talked and worked out,

All the hope we gave each other,

The things you claim you hold dear,
